Solid Board, "Quiver of One"
Right from the first day, this board gave me a lot of confidence with how stable it felt. It truly would lock into carves and pop out of them. Crud was no match which made weird terrain that nobody else rode fun to ride but it would buck me if I wasn't completely on top of it. The magnetraction saved me many times riding into icy hard pack, retaining its edge even at speed. Riding in powder, coming prepared with a setback stance, this board was a dream as it had plenty of float and agility. This versatility is what makes this board special. Seeing as this board was my first "real" snowboard (coming from an ebay K2 standard) I chose to take care of it. Waxing was routine and I would dry it after every time I rode it. I rode it hard but never abused it—avoided rocks, collisions, and hard flexes. Towards the end of this season, I noticed that the inserts I rode on the front had pulled loose and the top sheet around them had delaminated. For that reason, I've got to take one star off my review. I've heard good things about the GNU/Mervin customer service team so I'm looking forward to getting this sorted out!
