Flex

How easily does this snowboard bend under pressure? A soft flex is great for fun maneuverability while a stiff flex is better for aggressive high speed hill bombing.

Riding the Rig in the Midwest

I’ve been enjoying my Rig 160W for a couple of seasons in MN. It’s quickly become my favorite C3/camber Mervin and here’s why. The short contact length of this board allows it to turn so easily and quickly that it absolutely blows the Dymano out of the water for riding in tighter areas and at lower speeds. I’ve also found the Rig to be overall softer and more playful than other directional all-mtn Mervin’s I’ve ridden. The nose is buttery and the tail is strong, but not too stiff either. You can be laidback on this board and it will vibe with you. Easy peasy. I’m 6ft, 185lbs and have come to realize that a short guy, big mtn board just happens to be perfect for a tall guy, on a small hill haha. I’m now a HUGE fan of the short contact length of the Rig. More designs like this please Mervin.

New daily driver

Picked this board up prior to the season; waited a few storms before taking her out and it’s been the daily driver ever since. I’m 5’7 and went with a 159 thinking I’d only be using this for big open pow riding but I’ve ridden this in tight trees/chutes, trenched groomers, and smashed through chop. Love this board!

Sensational daily board.

Got one of these from a rep. Have a quiver of about 20 boards of all brands and models and ride this board 95% of the time. Got 157 days on hill this year and this board is perfect for a daily driver. I use it as an all mountain and park board mainly. I’m 6’0” 180 lbs and ride the 156. Would be fun to try a bigger size for powder but I enjoy my orcas for true deep powder days but even at 156 this thing floats well so I’d imagine the 59 would be great in pow, but again I use it more as a daily, rides and lands switch great, fast, turns on a dime, butters VERY well. Not enough good things to say about it. I’ll be getting another one next season in 157. Happy owner.

Boarders board

This board is for boarders who love to BOARD. Frick, I love this thing. It rails turns and smashes through mank like nobody’s business. The nose definitely feels a bit softer than the tail, which is a great feel for getting it up and over chop at full-speed. Wish I had bought one sooner!

Surfy Northwest Pow Beast

If you want a surfy board that absolutely rips in powder and holds up on the resort.... this is your board. This thing excels in landing big lines and drops while still giving you a ton of pop. I ride this with a stance +13-0, set back a good bit so the nose is super surfy, with Bent Metal Axtion bindings. (you will want to ride this with stiffer boots to feel complete control.
