ALL MOUNTAIN - DIRECTIONAL TWIN

Our experiMENTAL Division’s big guy “dream board” project gets a nose job! Constant testing and refinement by Trevor Phillips, Krush Kulesza, Neil Green and Kurt Jensen make this the best larger gentlemen’s power freestyle stick on the planet. A slightly more relaxed longer nose shape for pow float. This ape is absolutely resort ready... hit the rails or put it on rail and trench, your toes won’t drag but your knuckles might. Built in ultra-light HP construction for easy on the front foot chair rides.

Flex

How easily does this snowboard bend under pressure? A soft flex is great for fun maneuverability while a stiff flex is better for aggressive high speed hill bombing.

Insane edge grip, tall guys dream board!

I’m 200cm, US13 shoe, 125kg riding 172W. My old board was Burton Custom from 2022 and got my Skunk Ape after I cracked the custom. After my first run down the slopes I was flabbergasted. Never ever had I enjoyed such level of control and edge hold as on this one, this board has made me confident, maybe even cocky rider as I don’t have to be afraid of loosing and edge on icy groomers. On pow it floats so nice and turn initiation is super easy. Switch riding works super well. I’m faster switch on this board than riding my normal stance on any of my past boards in same price bracket.

Skunk Ape til I die

Rode a 2015 170uw to death and finally upgraded to the skunk ape ii 173uw this year. I'm 6' 320 lbs. Would love to see more big people on the slopes, whether former football player/athletes like me or not. I've ridden east coast ice, powder days all over the west, and Midwest trees with this thing. I remember needing to adjust to getting it on edge, but now I love it. Way more stable, great carving, actual float in powder. Thanks for making the biggest, baddest, only board for me on the market Lib Tech!

I always wanted to snowboard but never got to do it as a kid but decided it was time to do it a little while back. I had many challenges making it much harder to start as with age I put on a lot of weight added to my already tall frame and big feet. When I decided to give snowboarding a try I was 39 years old, 6 feet 3, and 330 lbs with size 15 feet so pretty limited with what I could ride. My weight was the hardest thing to fit with a board and choices were pretty slim. I've started on this board and have put a good amount of snow underneath it. I don't ride anything extreme like park because at my weight, one decent sized fall pretty much either breaks, cracks or snaps something and I still have to go to work! I had contacted Lib Tech to ask about my weight and this board and they didn't seem to be all that worried about it so I bought one and never looked back. the snow in my area is often more icy and mechanically made and the magna traction especially at my weight is great. I've been able to decently carve where possible and the board hasn't suffered any issues at all since 2019-2020 and for the first 2 seasons it saw action every weekend from December to about beginning to middle of march. I highly recommend this board to any big guys and especially ones like me that may think it's not possible to snowboard at my height, weight and boot size. I do wish I could try a 170 UW board but I would have to buy it as there isn't anywhere to try one around where I live (Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada) and no one even carries anything my size here anyways. I had to drive 8 hours to Toronto, Ontario to purchase my equipment. Love the board and if you are getting into your 40`s and out of shape like me at my size well this board has got you covered and give it a try.

F*cking Rad. Paradigm change.

There have been paradigm shifts in my time as a snowboarder I will never forget. My first board with steel edges, my first splitboard, my first "volume shifted" board. My new 170UW Skunk Ape II is going on the list. Today was my first day on it and I've never ridden a board that digs trenches like this thing. There's zero heel or toe drag. I'm going to tear a quadricep tendon before the edge lets go; it never washes out. Trenching fresh groomers is so f*cking fun now. I wish I'd found this yacht sooner. I'll never need another resort board. Thank you LibTech. Lionel Jensen, 6'3, 220lbs, US12 men's shoe size.
