Description

ALL MOUNTAIN / DIRECTIONAL SHAPE

The Gremlin. A one board quiver for advanced snowboarders looking to get more attention from the chair and in the bar. Floaty nose sniffs out powder, camber body pops over skiers and ropelines. Sintered base scratches rocks and crushes people who didn’t know you were racing them to the bottom. The only snowboard on the planet that tells the truth…lies are to hard to remember when fire burns. A great idea that should have always been… Grab a Gremlin!

  • Take over any mountain
  • Loves pow, eats hardpack and ice
  • Camber, Magne-Traction®, sintered, self centered
  • Mild volume Shift. Ride this board 2 cm shorter than your normal board

Flex

How easily does this snowboard bend under pressure? A soft flex is great for fun maneuverability while a stiff flex is better for aggressive high speed hill bombing.

Volume shift goodness that slays all conditions and terrain!

I live in Utah and have been riding over 30 years. I’m a fast riding, trench leaving, pow seeking, free rider with a heavy emphasis on carving and turning. This board rips in all conditions, it’s an all terrain crusher! It’s fast, extremely stable, and smooooth but not like a stiff plank or dead fish. It has just the right amount of dampness, snappiness, and torsional flex. It can absorb bump and vibrations without compromising liveliness. It’s one of the best resort boards I’ve owned for variable terrain like ice, chop, death cookies, and chunder. It holds an edge at speed extremely well, whether they are big carves across the slope or shallow tight ones. It will carve and hold an edge through crap/uneven snow and won’t let up until you release it. She ain’t just a corduroy princess! In pow The Gremlin floats awesome, I’ve had this out on a heavy 15” day with a mix of low angle, tight trees, and steep pow, it performed as it should. Those who can ride pow will be stoked. Where it really shines is the ability to steam roll over chunder and pow piles, If you are riding resort pow, you end up on the mains runs which turn into mine fields quickly. This board will save your legs as you won’t get bucked around and it steamrolls right though anything. It’s easy to turn in bumps too if you happen to come across them. I also have a 164W Mullair, The Gremlin rides just as smooth and stable at speed through all conditions. The main differences are in how it turns, the Mullair likes to be pointed, the Gremlin loves to turn more. The Gremlin floats a bit better too in low angle pow too but both are great boards depending on what flavor you’re feeling for that day. I also have a Pre-HP Orca 159 (2019/2020)- The Gremlin crushes it in every single aspect except maybe super deep pow. IMO the Orca is for the average rider, but falls short when charging really hard. The chunder performance and edge hold is superior on the Gremlin. If you’re an advanced free rider that wants a volume shift and loves camber, this is it! I’m 6’4”, 225 lbs and I bought the 158.

HARD CHARGER FAMILY GAPPER

Rode this board about 15 days on hill so far, LOVE IT. Not the BEST in deeper snow in my opinion youll have to set your stance back a tad but still rips. Stable at high speeds, percise carving, really good pop and resposne. Hell of a board, would recommend to the person who likes to LAY down carves, races people down the mountain but also likes to launch off of boulders and side hits in the fluffy stuff :) Oh yea, and destroys ice. If i could give it a 4.5/5 i would.

Powerful

This board rides as good as it looks. The C3 and magne-traction is a great marriage. It's the fun of my old park pickle and the performance of 90s camber. Most fun I've had on a board. It's a no brainer. Thanks again GNU!

East coast ice killer!!!

I primarily ride Killington ( boarding since 1991) and we get our share of sub prime- icy conditions. This year has been especially bad due to frequent thaw-freeze events. MY Gremlin RAILS the ice. Best grip I have ever had on clear blue ice. Can't wait to try it when it finally softens up. But I have to say again BEST ICE BOARD I HAVE EVER RIDDEN!!! So good it makes ice seem playful. Easy turning quick edge to edge. My favorite board ever.

10/10 Board

Never gets wishy-washy on carves. Has a directional shape but still rides switch well. Is wide so you get that stability, but it's also oddly nimble and great in trees/bumps (I ride size 12 boots). Launches you off side-hits in ways that make other boards feel mushy. Huge backside 180's off rollers feel incredible on this deck. Not a "park" board but it doesn't matter and you can have great park days on this. Floats amazingly in powder, but then rails turns on a groomer better than my non-pow boards. The edge hold and stability has a very smooth and reassuring feel when you are blasting through choppy terrain. It just NEVER lets you down and works as an everyday board regardless of conditions. Probably going to purchase a second one of these.
